Privacy Policy

Fieldly: Account Form Fields ("the app") is operated by StackCraft Digital ("we", "us"). The app lets Shopify merchants add custom profile fields to their store's customer accounts. This policy explains what data the app processes, why, and the choices merchants and their customers have.
Data we collect from merchants
- Store information: the store domain, installation status, and the selected billing plan.
- Admin user session details provided by Shopify during sign-in (name, email address, and locale of the staff member using the app).
- App configuration: the forms and fields a merchant creates, including titles, field labels, and display settings.
Customer data
Values that customers enter into profile fields are stored as customer metafields in the merchant's own Shopify store — not in our database. We do not keep a copy of customer field values.
To show merchants form activity, the app records submission events containing the Shopify customer ID, which fields were submitted, and a timestamp. These events never contain the submitted values. The app also records daily aggregate counts of form views, which contain no personal data.
How we use data
- To provide the app's functionality to the merchant.
- To display form activity and usage statistics in the app.
- To provide merchant support when contacted.
We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except the service providers below.
Service providers
- Shopify — the platform the app runs on; customer field values are stored in Shopify as metafields.
- Railway — hosting for the app and its database.
Data retention and deletion
The app implements Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. When a customer requests deletion, their submission events are removed from our database (their metafield values live in the merchant's store and are handled by Shopify). When a merchant uninstalls the app, Shopify sends a shop deletion request 48 hours later and we delete the store's data, including forms and submission events.
GDPR and data subject rights
For customer data, the merchant is the data controller and we act as a processor. Customers should direct access or deletion requests to the merchant; Shopify relays these to us via the webhooks described above, and we honor them. Merchants can contact us directly for any data request.
